The project aims to solve the problem of biomedical waste management at two health posts in Dar Naïm (Nouakchott Nord) by installing two on-site incinerators. Subsequently, training will be provided to ensure the management and maintenance of these devices, while the dispensaries’ health staff will be trained in biomedical waste sorting and management techniques. Mass awareness campaigns and educational talks for parents will be organized to sensitize all stakeholders to the dangers of this waste and how to handle it. Finally, a clean-up campaign around health posts will be organized to complete the various project activities.
