The “Promotion of agro-ecological gardening practices and production of organic fertilizers and pesticides” project aims to promote the adoption of agricultural production methods that respect the environment and human health. Its main activities include the development of thirteen plots of land in the commune of Riyadh, the setting up of an organic input manufacturing and composting unit, and the creation of an organic seed marketing counter. The project also includes public awareness campaigns on the dangers of chemical inputs and the advantages of products derived from agro-ecological production systems. Finally, an agro-ecological solidarity savings fund will be created to support farmers trained in agro-ecology in their productive activities.
