EL VETAYATE EL VAILATE

“Riyad propre” is a project that aims to find solutions to the proliferation of household waste in the commune of Riyad (Nouakchott-Sud), in the absence of basic waste management services in the area. The project covers waste collection, transportation, sorting and recycling. To this end, three economic interest groups (EIGs) will be set up to collect and transport waste, and a fourth EIG will serve as a recycling unit for the plastic collected by the 150 families to whom selective sorting containers will be distributed. A series of training sessions in waste treatment and management techniques will complete the project.
